Rattlesnake Ledge Hike

Weekly Troop Meetings

Tuesday's from 7:00-8:00PM at Sherwood Forest Elementary School

Considering Scouts?

Reach out using the Contact Us link at left, or message us on Facebook!

Our Troop consists of many active Scouts from middle school through high school ages. In addition to our Weekly Troop meetings, we are frequently hiking or camping or attending events with Scouts in the greater Seattle area.  During the winter and summer months the Troop attends camp together, and some Scouts may go farther afield on special trips.  Our Scouts have backpacked in New Mexico for 12 days, gone rafting in Minnesota and sailed the Florida Keys.

The Boy Scouts of America's mission is to prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

Trunk or Treat at Sherwood Forest

Posted on Oct 23 2022 - 11:07am

Friday 10/28, at 4:30 - 7:00

Troop 606 will host a trunk at Sherwood Elementary School’s Trunk or Treat event. We plan to make this a recruiting event, and so we will need people to come and greet kids to make it fun for them. We'll be borrowing most of the Trunk setup from a similar event earlier in the week, but we'll have a chance to customize it during our meeting Tuesday night, October 25.

October Campout at Camp Long (10/28-10/30)

Posted on Oct 7 2022 - 10:04am
We will be having a campout at Camp Long. This will be a training camp out where the new plc is trained by Jacob and the old plc. Current and previous plc members are HIGHLY encouraged to attend; however, we will provide a ton of advancement opportunities for younger scouts, so everyone is invited!

End of Year Celebration

Posted on Jun 9 2022 - 11:45am

HEY SCOUTS!

SUMMER IS HERE, AND I HOPE YOU'RE AS EXCITED AS I AM!

To commemorate the end of the school year, Troop 606 will be hosting an End of the School Year Celebration at Idylwood Park3650 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, Redmond, WA. It's a great location with wide open fields, a small playground, and swimming available to all.

On June 14th, from 6 - 8:30, 606 will be at the park for a Potluck! Scouts are free to bring any sort of sporting equipment or other games they'd like for entertainment, and the invite is open to Scouts and their families, so feel free to bring those siblings!

We ask that if you plan to attend, please bring a dish that you're able to share with others (clearly marked with any allergens it may contain). You may want to also bring picnic blankets or a camping chair for yourself and your family.

Lastly, if we have any families willing to bring a couple of folding tables, that would be fantastic.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Fishing @ Rattlesnake Lake

Posted on May 18 2021 - 7:53pm

What

Fishing (or walking around the lake).
We will meet near the fish cleaning station and restroom near the parking lots on the lake/West side of the road.
Parking can be challenging inside the gate. You may need to park outside the gate.
We need one adult leader there for two-deep leadership. If you plan on just dropping your Scout off, please be sure to communicate it, and find Paul for positive handoff.
Cancellation is always a concern rain-depending. We’ll make a call the evening beforehand.
